Premier Music International Competition
The 2026 (6th annual) is now open! Application deadline: 1 May 2026!
PMIC is an online international youth music competition held annually for music students (studying in music schools and/or with private teachers) and music enthusiasts of all levels.
We created this music competition specifically for young talents to be able to showcase their musical abilities to the world.
If you are a professional musician, or preparing to be one as a conservatoire student, then we recommend our sibling competition, PMIC Pro!
We invite applicants until 21 years of age to participate in this friendly, transparent, fair, and prestigious competition - candidates are categorised based on age/experience, instrument groups and genre.
This music competition is open to all traditional orchestral and jazz instruments - strings (violin, viola, cello, double bass), plucked instruments (harp, guitar), keyboard (piano, organ, harpsichord), percussion (both melodic and rhythmic, drum kit/set), woodwinds (flute, oboe, saxophone, clarinet, cor Anglais, bassoon, recorder), brass (trumpet, French horn, trombone) and voice - and genres from classical music to jazz and pop/rock.
In addition, there is also a songwriting/composition, and a choir/vocal ensemble category as well!
PMIC is a completely independent venture created without the funding of any national or international organisations or actors.
This is a 21st Century, forward-thinking competition which gives valuable insight by providing detailed written feedback from the jury panel with each of them making their final decisions remotely and independently without input from anyone else. We believe it is also important to point out that none of the judges' students can enter the competition!
New: For applicants who are located in a country where Youtube/Vimeo is not available, you can upload your videos here instead (only for countries that do not have access to YT/Vimeo!): https://dbmastering.eu/upload-.html
This is the chance to showcase your unique talent to the world!
Deadline for submitting the application form (with video links) is: from 1 March to 1 May 2026!
Prizes:
* Everyone receives written detailed feedback on their performances from the judges as well as certificates.
* A few selected winners will be chosen for whom free audio mixing/mastering will be provided courtesy of dBMastering, with free publishing on streaming platforms if required!
* Winner(s) with highest points will be invited to Budapest, Hungary for a (free) live concert in 2027 at Nádor Hall!
